Cara Glynn, Director of Editorial for The ASCO Post, was recognized with a 2019 Folio: Top Women in Media Award in the Corporate Champions category. She was awarded the honor on June 7.

The Top Women in Media Awards Corporate Champions focus on women who have steered their companies to new markets, opportunities, and audiences, as well as demonstrated strong, measurable growth.

“Cara’s dedication to The ASCO Post is evident to her staff and readers of the publication alike, and we are happy to see her efforts recognized by Folio:,” said Conor Lynch, Executive Vice President of Harborside.

Ms. Glynn, a Vice President at Harborside, has been at the helm of The ASCO Post since its launch in 2010. She was key in conceptualizing the need for such a publication and instrumental in collaborating with the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) to help bring the publication into existence. The ASCO Post is currently ranked as the #3 oncology publication and the #1 oncology newspaper, according to Kantar Media Medical/Surgical June 2019 readership results.

“Cara has been active in the world of oncology publishing for over 20 years—she is so deserving of this honor,” said Jack Gentile, Chairman of Harborside.

Ms. Glynn began her career in oncology publishing with PRR (Huntington, NY), and later CMPMedica, where she was Senior Editorial Director and oversaw publication of the yearly handbook Cancer Management: A Multidisciplinary Approach (Pazdur R, et al, Editors).
